The Upper Iowa Women’s Tennis Team earned another victory in their return season. The Peacocks beat the Crusaders of Clarke College 7-2. The victory was UIU’s second win over Clarke this Fall.
Upper Iowa won 2 of the 3 doubles matches on the day. Kasey Huisman and Erin Kelley won 9-8; Stephanie Johnson and Faith Atherton won 8-4; while Molly Klocke and Shelby Lilly were defeated 8-6. In singles competition, Upper Iowa took 5 of the 6 matches. Kasey Huisman won 6-1, 6-4; Erin Kelley won 6-3, 6-3; Mallery Cox won 6-1, 6-1; Katie Rodewald won 6-0, 6-2; and Shelby Lilly won 6-2, 6-0. Kelsey Montgomery was the only Peacock to be defeated in singles play (4-6, 5-7). |
