Upper Iowa University head women's tennis coach Chad Fenwick announced today Whitney Clark signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at UIU. The Peacocks are reinstating women's tennis in conjunction with joining the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2006-07.
Whitney Clark (Spencer, Iowa) was a state qualifier in doubles as a senior this season at Spencer High School. She was a two-time honorable mention all-conference selection. Clark also lettered in basketball three years and in volleyball two years. Whitney is the daughter of Sherry and Larry Clark. She plans to major in Human Services at Upper Iowa. "We are really excited about having Whitney attend Upper Iowa," said Fenwick. "We expect her to step in immediately and contribute as a freshman." |
