Upper Iowa Head Women’s Tennis Coach Chad Fenwick announced the signing of Elizabeth Limburg to a National Letter of Intent for the 2007-08 season. Limburg, an Aplington, Iowa native, will graduate from Aplington-Parkersburg High School this year. She played with UIU’s Kasey Huisman last year under head coach, and mother, Manelva Limburg.
Limburg finished the 2007 regular season with a 9-1 record in singles and an undefeated mark of 10-0 in doubles. The Aplington-Parkersburg prep most recently placed second in singles and first in doubles at the North Iowa Cedar League Tournament. She will next compete in the IGHSAU Regional Tennis Tournament at Decorah this week. “I’m excited to have Elizabeth join our tennis program. She is competitive and has great enthusiasm for the sport of tennis. I’m certain that she will contribute well to our team in competition and spirit,” said Coach Fenwick. Elizabeth is the daughter of Manelva and Jim Limburg and plans to major in Elementary Education at UIU. |
