Upper Iowa University head women's tennis coach Chad Fenwick announced today Kelsey Montgomery signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at UIU. The Peacocks are reinstating women's tennis in conjunction with joining the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2006-07.
Kelsey Montgomery (Stewartville, Minn.) is a three-time all-conference player from Stewartville High School. She is a team captain and member of the honor roll. Kelsey is the daughter of Lynee and Brian Montgomery. She plans to major in Public Health at Upper Iowa. "We're excited about having Kelsey join our program," said Fenwick. "We definitely expect her to contribute in our top six right away." Montgomery joins Kasey Huisman, Erin Kelley, Molly Klocke and Shelby Lilly, who signed National Letters of Intent earlier this year and will play for the UIU women's tennis team in 2006-07. |
