Upper Iowa University head women's tennis coach Chad Fenwick announced today Kasey Huisman signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at UIU. The Peacocks are reinstating women's tennis in conjunction with joining the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2006-07. Huisman is the first player to sign with the UIU tennis program.
Heading into her senior season, Huisman is a three-time Iowa Class 1A state place winner from Aplington-Parkersburg High School. She was one-half of last year's state championship doubles team. "I am extremely excited to have Kasey joining us," said Fenwick. "A player of her credentials will be key to building a championship-level tennis team." |
