Upper Iowa Finishes Third at NSIC Tournament

NSIC Tournament Results

Minneapolis, Minn. - Winona State won their fourth straight NSIC Women's Tennis Tournament Championship and seventh in the past eight years as they edge Southwest Minnesota State 58 to 54 in the final standings. Upper Iowa was a close third with 53 team points. Bemidji State's Kali Welu was voted NSIC MVP, while Diana Naatz of Southwest Minnesota State was named NSIC Senior of the Year. Heather Pierce of Winona State was honored as NSIC Freshman of the Year and Upper Iowa's Chad Fenwick was named NSIC Coach of the Year.
