The Beavers of Bemidji State defeated Upper Iowa 3-0 at Pattison Field in Fayette, Iowa.

The Peacocks dominated play in the first half by controlling the midfield and possession of the ball. The Peacocks fired 9 shots in the half compared to just 3 by the Beavers. Upper Iowa also held an advantage in corners by a 8-0 count. However, it was the Beavers who went to the locker room at halftime with a 1-0 lead on a goal by Kelly Hyvare. Christina Hicks and Katie Meinhardt picked up assists on the score.

Bemidji began to take more control as the second half progressed and thanks to a penalty kick in the 64th minute, the Beavers took a 2-0 lead. Bemidji finished the scoring off in the 72nd minute on a corner kick that found its way over the goal line and past Peacock goalkeeper Sarah Hiatt.

Amy Campbell seemed to be the only Peacock that was able to get through the Beaver defense to fire multiple shots on goal. She finished with 6 shots, 4 of which were on goal. The rest of the team only managed to fire a combined 4 shots on goal in the game.

The Peacocks return to Pattison Field to host the University of Minnesota-Crookston on Sunday, October 15th at 1 p.m.
