The women's soccer team took the field Sunday afternoon in Fayette for a non-conference match up with the Eagles of Robert Morris College. The Peacocks were looking to shake loose the memories of their game versus Winona State where the team was soundly defeated 6-0. Upper Iowa came out early and scored two goals in the first half before cruising to a 3-0 victory to move their record to 5-4.

Jodee Loterbauer got the Peacocks on the board in the 15th minute as she put her head on a cross from Lauren Smith. Loterbauer's header shot past the goalie for a 1-0 lead. Loterbauer, a sophomore forward from Mason City, found the back of the net again in the 26th minute. Cara Mauldin and Erica Baedke assisted on the goal as they found Loterbauer in the box where she drove the ball past the Eagle keeper. UIU finished their scoring in the 60th minute when Amy Campbell drove a shot past the diving keeper to the lower left corner of the frame. Jennifer Lee handed out the assist on the goal as she intercepted a goal kick with a header right to Campbell's feet.

The Peacocks host two Northern Sun schools in the final weekend of "conference, but not conference" games. Saturday's game with Southwest Minnesota State is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., while Sunday's game with Wayne State is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
