Two members of the Upper Iowa University women's golf team have been named as National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar recipients at the NCAA Division II level. The two honorees are Laura Taylor (Woodbury, Minnesota) and Lindsey Holien (Ossian, Iowa). The honor is the second for Taylor, who earned the honor last year as well. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. Taylor finished her second year at Upper Iowa with a 3.76 GPA while majoring in Graphic Design. Holien completed her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in October with a 3.47 GPA and spent the remainder of the year earning a 4.0 GPA while pursuing an MBA in International Business. Taylor and Holien were two of seventy-six Division II women's golfers to receive the honor and joined two other Northern Sun Conference individuals, both from Southwest Minnesota State, on the list. Minnesota State (3) and Augustana (1), now a part of the Northern Sun Conference, also had golfers recognized on the list after finishing their final competitive season in the North Central Conference.
