Upper Iowa Falls at Concordia-Moorhead

The Upper Iowa Men’s Soccer Team traveled to Moorhead, Minnesota for a match on Sunday afternoon. Concordia-Moorhead defeated the Peacocks 3-2.
 
The Peacocks struck first on a goal by Chris Pacheco. Pacheco drove a Daniel Nettleton pass into the back of the net. The Cobbers of Concordia-Moorhead retaliated with three goals prior to halftime, two of which were scored by Opoku Kwaku. The game remained at 3-1 until the 85th minute when Craig Signorin took advantage of a penalty kick opportunity and brought the Peacocks to within one goal. Upper Iowa could not manage another goal in the last five minutes and chalked up another one-goal loss.
 
The Peacocks were led on offense by Pacheco (4 shots on goal) and Signorin (2 shots on goal). Tyler Watkins made 9 saves in goal for UIU and was solid once the dust had settled in the first half. The Peacocks record dropped to 2-11-1 on the season.
 
The Peacocks return home to Pattison Field this Wednesday (10/18) to face Lewis University at 12 p.m.
