The UIU Men's Soccer Team traveled to the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday for a match with the Greyhounds. They were defeated 2-1 in their third match of the year.

The game's scoring began in the 3rd minute when Indianapolis Sophomore Jon Walker scored and gave the Greyhounds an early 1-0 lead. The Peacocks tied the score after an Indianapolis miscommunication in their box led to an own goal which tied the score at 1-1 in the 36th minute.

The teams went to halftime locked at 1-1, and it took until the 59th minute for the game winning goal to be scored by Walker, his 2nd of the match.

Indianapolis fired 26 shots to Upper Iowa’s 2. The Greyhounds put 10 shots on frame to the Peacock’s 1. Tyler Watkins (SO/Broken Arrow, OK) was tested in goal and came up with 8 saves for the Peacocks.

With the win, the Greyhounds moved to 3-0. The Peacocks are now 0-3, but don't let that record fool you. This team believes they are poised to break out for a big win and will look to do so at the Drury Tournament this coming weekend, September 2nd and 3rd.
