The Upper Iowa men's golf fall season got under way this weekend and the 2007 squad looks good. The team finished fourth in the first tournament of the year hosted by St. Cloud State. The Husky Invite took place on Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.

Two Peacocks cracked the top 20. Josh Wells shot a 75 to finish in a tie for 9th place, while transfer Adam Winans finished in 13th place with a 76 in the one round tournament.

After the round, the team packed up and headed North to Bemidji, Minnesota for the two-day Bemidji State University Invitational at the Bemidji Town & Country Club. Fueled by good play from Andy Thomas, who tied for 20th with a 150 (73-77), and Josh Wells, who shot a 153 (75-78), the Peacocks were able to finish in sixth place with a 620 (308-312). The field featured twelve NCAA Division II teams and one Division III team.

The men's team will travel to Kirksville, Missouri for a tournament hosted by Truman State University on the 17th and 18th of September.
