T.C. Hicks ran wild on Saturday afternoon in Crookston, Minnesota. The Peacocks entered the NSIC game looking for their first conference win of the season and Hicks made sure that UIU would have enough offense on the day. Hicks rushed for 233 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns for UIU. The yardage ranks second all-time in the Peacock record books and leaves Hicks just 37 yards shy of the all-time career rushing record at Upper Iowa.

Dominique Jackson led the Peacock defense, which came up with six interceptions, with four interceptions and 181 return yards. The returns were highlighted by a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown that gave the Peacocks a 19-0 lead and was a major turning point in the game as the Golden Eagles were poised to cut the deficit to 12-7.

The Peacocks scored 24 fourth quarter points to blow the game open and win 50-21. Upper Iowa improves to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the NSIC, while UM, Crookston falls to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the NSIC.
